2. Mode, Duration, and Location of Training:

  • Mode of Study: Full-time.
  • Duration of Training: 1.5 years (03 semesters).
  • Class Schedule: Saturdays, Sundays, and weekday evenings.
  • Training Location: At the campuses of Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade.

3. Target Candidates:

  • Vietnamese citizens.
  • Foreign citizens.

4. Admission Methods

Selection is based on the following criteria:

  • Priority Groups: Candidates belonging to the priority categories specified in Section 6.1 of this announcement.
  • Academic Merit: Candidates are selected based on their undergraduate Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) in descending order until the quota is filled.
  • Professional Experience: In the event that multiple candidates have the same CGPA and the number of candidates exceeds the remaining quota, priority will be given based on work seniority in a field related to the major (verified by labor contracts, social insurance contribution history, or certification from the employer). Candidates with higher seniority will be prioritized for admission.
  • Gender Equality Priority: Should multiple candidates have the same seniority, priority will be given to female candidates in accordance with Clause 4, Article 16 of Decree No. 48/2009/NĐ-CP dated May 19, 2009, regarding measures to ensure gender equality.

5. Admission Requirements

5.1. For Vietnamese Candidates:

a) Educational Qualifications: Candidates must meet one of the following conditions:

  • Graduated from or met the requirements for graduation from a Bachelor’s degree program (or equivalent level or higher) in a major suitable for the Master's program registered at the University. (The list of suitable majors—including those requiring or not requiring supplementary courses, as well as the specific supplementary modules—is provided in the attached Appendix 1). For research-oriented programs, candidates are required to have a graduation rank of "Good" (Khá) or higher, or have published scientific research related to their intended field of study and research.
  • Meet other requirements of the program standards issued by the Ministry of Education and Training and the specific training program regulations of the University.

b) Foreign Language Requirements: Candidates must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Degree in Foreign Languages: A Bachelor’s degree or higher in a foreign language major; or a Bachelor’s degree or higher from a program where the primary medium of instruction was a foreign language.
  • HUIT Graduates: A Bachelor’s degree issued by the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade (HUIT) within 02 years (24 months) prior to the application date, provided the program’s output standards met a foreign language proficiency of Level 3 or higher according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam.
  • Certificates/Degrees: Possess a degree or foreign language certificate equivalent to Level 3 or higher according to the 6-level Foreign Language Proficiency Framework for Vietnam, or other equivalent certificates recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training, which must be valid at the time of application (see attached Appendix 2). Upon receipt, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade will verify the authenticity of these degrees or certificates.
  • Note: The foreign language used for admission requirements and graduation standards must be the same language for each learner.

c) Other Conditions: Candidates must satisfy the following:

  • Background and Conduct: Possess a clear personal background and commit to not being under criminal prosecution.
  • Financial Commitment: Commit to fulfilling all financial obligations regarding the training process in accordance with the University's regulations.
  • Application Submission: Submit a complete application dossier by the specified deadline as required by the University.
  • Priority Categories: Candidates eligible for priority policies must provide all necessary documentation as specified in Section 6.1 of this Announcement.

5.2. For Foreign Candidates:

  • General Conditions: Foreign candidates must satisfy the same requirements as Vietnamese candidates as specified in Section 5.1 above.
  • Vietnamese Language Proficiency: Foreign candidates registering for Master's programs taught in Vietnamese must achieve Level 4 or higher according to the Vietnamese Language Proficiency Framework as stipulated in Circular No. 17/2015/TT-BGDĐT dated September 01, 2015, by the Ministry of Education and Training.
  • Major Determination: For foreign candidates, the determination of their undergraduate major or required bridge courses (conversion modules) will be conducted by comparing subjects with identical or equivalent titles and content.

6. Priority Categories and Policies

6.1. Priority Categories:

  • a) Individuals with at least 02 years of continuous work experience (as of the application deadline) in localities designated as Region 1 in the current Regulations on Undergraduate and Associate Degree Admissions. In this case, candidates must provide an official appointment, mobilization, or secondment decision from a competent authority or organization.
  • b) Wounded soldiers or those entitled to the same policies as wounded soldiers.
  • c) Children of Martyrs.
  • d) Heroes of the People's Armed Forces or Labor Heroes.
  • e) Ethnic minority individuals with permanent residence for at least 02 years in localities designated as Region 1 in the current Regulations on Undergraduate and Associate Degree Admissions.
  • f) Biological children of resistance activists exposed to toxic chemicals, who are recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as having deformities, disabilities, or a diminished capacity for self-reliance in daily life or study due to the effects of such chemicals.

Required Documentation for Priority Benefits:

  • For categories (b), (c), (e), and (f): Notarized copies of wounded/sick soldier cards or other relevant legal documents.
  • For category (d): Notarized copies of ID Card/Citizen ID, permanent residence records, and certification from the local Ward/Commune People's Committee of residence.
  • For category (a): Notarized labor contracts, appointment or mobilization decisions from competent authorities, and certification from the Ward/Commune People's Committee confirming that the organization is located within a priority area.

6.2. Priority Levels:

7.1. The admission dossier includes:

  • Health Certificate: Issued by a competent medical facility within the last 6 months.
  • ID Card/Citizen ID: 01 notarized copy.
  • Bachelor’s Degree and Academic Transcript: 01 notarized copy of each. (Note: Candidates who completed a bridge program/top-up degree must also submit the diploma and transcript of their previous Associate or Intermediate levels).
  • Foreign Language Degree/Certificate: 01 notarized copy.
  • Certificate of Work Experience: 01 copy issued by the employer (if applicable) [Form BMThS-03].
  • Certificate and Transcript of Supplementary Courses: 01 copy (if applicable) [Form BMThS-07].

Note for Foreign Degrees: In cases where the Bachelor’s degree and academic transcripts were issued by foreign educational institutions, they must be translated into Vietnamese, notarized, and accompanied by a Certificate of Recognition issued by the Vietnam Quality Control Department (VN-NARIC). 8. Admission Fees and Tuition

8.1. Admission Fees:

  • Admission Fee: 2,000,000 VND per candidate.

8.2. Tuition Fees and Alumni Incentives:

  • Tuition Fee: 1,200,000 VND per credit. The entire program consists of 60 credits.
  • Alumni Discount Policy: If the candidate is an alumnus/alumna of the University, the following tuition reduction policies apply:
    • Graduates with "Excellent" or "Very Good" rank: 20% tuition fee reduction per semester.
    • Graduates with "Good" rank: 10% tuition fee reduction per semester.
    • Graduates with other ranks: 5% tuition fee reduction per semester.
